Business Leaders Praise Supreme Court for Saving DACA and Call For Full Embrace of Dreamers.
The Massachusetts Business Immigration Coalition released the following statement, signed by its co-chairs, on behalf of its members representing scores of businesses across the Commonwealth.
Business leaders all across Massachusetts are rejoicing at the Supreme Court decision blocking President Trump's attempt to dismantle the DACA program. We specifically want to thank Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healy who filed suit on all of our behalf to protect the dreamers and won.
This is the moment of opportunity to once and for all fully embrace Dreamers. Dreamers are among our best founders, employees, partners, mentors, interns, customers and neighbors.
We call on government at all levels to move on and make sure Dreamers have a safe and secure place in our society and community including but not limited to the following:
Equal access to the same in-state tuition rates that any other resident is offered at our state colleges and universities.
Equal access to health insurance via the Massachusetts Health Connector
A place of dignity, welcome and appreciation for their presence in and contributions to the Commonwealth.
The health, safety, inclusion and success of dreamers is everyone's business.
